The program’s goal is to recruit and support students from under-represented groups in medicine, whose academic background made them a higher risk for admission in medical school, and have them complete 24 hours of intense undergraduate and graduate
science courses prior to starting medical school.
Accepted students receive up to $7,000 and are guaranteed admission to the CU School of Medicine if the program is successfully completed. Successful completion is defined as at least 24 hours of science, half at the graduate level, and at least a 3.5
GPA for the year (all A’s and B’s).
Students who are considered for this program must be Colorado residents and must have applied to the MD program. Applicants are chosen from the MD applicant pool each year.
