Pre-Med Program

Mission: Pre-MD is a new series of interactive workshops to help guide students considering applying to medical school. The sessions are organized and taught by current CU medical students and held once or twice monthly at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. There will also be a live stream for those who cannot attend in person and recordings of each session provided below. The program is geared towards undergraduates underrepresented in medicine, community college students, and other aspiring future applicants. These sessions will include topics such as an overview to the application, how to write a personal statement, and resources for financial aid and scholarships. Every session will also provide an opportunity to ask questions and network with current medical students. Pre-MD is passionate about making medical school more accessible, and we hope to be an invaluable resource for all.

As a branch of Pre-MD, the Pre-Med Undergraduate Mentorship program (PUMP) pairs pre-med students with medical students for personalized guidance and support. Through regular meetings, mentors provide advice on academics, MCAT prep, application strategies, and insight into the medical school experience. The program fosters a supportive relationship, helping pre-meds navigate the path to medical school with confidence and clarity.
