Interviews are by invitation only. Applicants are selected for an interview using holistic review, a flexible, individualized way of assessing applicants’ capabilities in which balanced consideration is given to experiences, attributes and academic metrics and, when considered in combination, how the individual might contribute value as a medical student and physician.
Up to 60 applicants can be interviewed on any given day. The interview day is conducted in a mixed format and includes observation of a group activity, a small group interview, and a traditional interview. The interviews and evaluations are focused on assessment of intra- and interpersonal competencies needed for the practice of medicine.
All interviews for the 2021-2022 application cycle will be conducted virtually.
Applications and interview evaluations are then reviewed by the Admissions Committee which then determines a final decision for each candidate (acceptance, rejection, or waitlist).
