The University of Colorado Department of Orthopedics is committed to developing a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for its patients, trainees, and faculty, we are happy to offer the University of Colorado Department of Orthopedic Surgery Visiting Medical Student Diversity Scholarship to provide financial assistance for a 4th-year medical student who is planning a career in orthopedic surgery and want to do a four-week rotation with us. Diverse students whose backgrounds and/or identities are underrepresented in orthopedics as well as female applicants interested in orthopedics are encouraged to apply. The chosen applicants will be provided a stipend of $2,500 to be used towards their food, housing, and/or travel expenses. Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and attend an allopathic medical school in the U.S. to be eligible. Scholarship awardees will be strongly considered for an interview.
