Our research programs aim to improve the safety and outcomes of pediatric and adolescent orthopedic procedures, reducing the risk of complications and enhancing recovery to enable young athletes to prepare, perform, recover, and repeat. We specialize in clinical trials assessing safety profiles and cost-effectiveness, prospective registries collecting surgical data, and multisite complication tracking to advance understanding and treatment of conditions such as ACLR, meniscus procedures, tibial spine fixation, and discoid meniscus procedures.
A prospective clinical trial funded by Smith and Nephew that is looking at the safety profiles, cost-effectiveness, and the potential to decrease the risk of arthrofibrosis development that requires surgical intervention after ACLR surgery.
A prospective registry that collects data that is routinely collected for patients with surgical ACL injuries. Data collected includes clinical presentation, imaging, motion analysis measures and questionnaires. Retrospective, standard of care data may also be collected from patient EMRs.
A multisite complications registry for pediatric and adolescent patients that have sustained ACLR, meniscus procedures, tibial spine fixation, or discoid meniscus procedures.
