The Rocky Mountain Shoulder and Elbow Society (RMSES) Conference 2027

Join us in the mountains for the 2027 Rocky Mountain Shoulder and Elbow Society Meeting, March 11-13, at the Grand Hyatt in Vail, Colorado. This course is intended for surgeons and allied healthcare professionals interested in treating common shoulder and elbow problems, emphasizing the surgical management of these conditions.

This conference will highlight new technology and techniques for treating shoulder and elbow pathology.

Registration Rates for the 2027 Rocky Mountain Shoulder and Elbow Society Meeting:

  • MD/DO/APP/General Registration: $500
  • Students, Residents, Fellows, and all other allied health professionals including OTs, PTs, ATCs: $200
  • Speakers: Free

Attendee Registration Includes:

  • Breakfast and snacks on Friday and Saturday
  • Entrance to the Reception on Friday evening
  • All conference materials including CME credit for physicians & APPs and CEU credit for ATCs and therapists

Note:

  • Non-attendees, including spouses and family members, are not permitted to attend any portion of the conference except for the Reception on Friday 3/12 with the purchase of a $75 paid ticket.
  • Attendees may bring one adult guest to the Reception on Friday 3/12 with the purchase of a $75 ticket.
  • The conference, and any associated activities, are for registered attendees only.
  • Lodging, parking, and additional meals are not included in your registration fee and will not be provided as part of the conference.

Meeting Attire:

  • Mountain casual for all attendees and speakers.

Cancellations and Refunds:

  • The full fee is refundable if your registration is canceled by Thursday, March 4th.
  • Refunds will not be granted after this time or for non-attendance.
  • CU Orthopedics reserves the right to cancel this conference in the event of an unforeseen circumstance. In the event of cancellation, CU Orthopedics is obligated to refund the registration fee only.

Continuing Education:

  • Target Audience:
    • This symposium is intended for physicians, APPs, athletic trainers, therapists, and all allied health professionals involved in patient care for shoulder and elbow injuries.
    • Anyone interested in expanding their knowledge of athletic injuries and conditions of the shoulder and elbow is welcome to attend.
    • The objective of this course is to educate participants on the best methods of managing patients with injuries of the upper extremity, specifically shoulder and elbow.

  • Learning Objectives:
    • At the conclusion of this conference, attendees will be able to:
      • Determine indications for surgical and non-surgical treatments for rotator cuff tears.
      • Develop an algorithm for treatment of shoulder instability in the athlete that involves both operative and non-operative management.
      • Assess patients with shoulder and elbow arthritis and develop an appropriate treatment strategy based on the severity of their disease.
      • Learn imaging and examination techniques to understand the issues that throwing athletes have at the shoulder and elbow and implement strategies to improve treatment of these athletes.
      • Assess traumatic conditions of the elbow and appropriately recommend treatment for these conditions.

  • Accreditation:
    • The Office of Continuing Medical Education at the University of Colorado School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
    • University of Colorado Sports Medicine (BOC AP# P3598) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers. This program is eligible for a maximum of 11.75 category A hours/CEU’s and is designated as an Orthopedic Specialty course. ATs should claim only those hours spent in the educational program.
    • This course meets the Physical Therapy Board Standards for Continuing Education Activities through the Colorado DORA.

The Rocky Mountain Shoulder and Elbow Society Meeting will be held March 11-13, 2027, at the Grand Hyatt in Vail, Colorado. We anticipate over 100 surgeons and allied health care professionals next March.

This conference will focus on the treatment of common shoulder and elbow conditions, with particular emphasis on surgical management. The program will highlight emerging technologies and advanced techniques in the treatment of shoulder and elbow pathology.

Our distinguished faculty will include surgeons from the region, as well as several world-renowned surgeons from across the United States. Keynote Speakers will include:
