100 Medical Students a Year
Our mission is to equip every medical student with the essential experience, knowledge, and comprehension of orthopedic health, empowering them to deliver informed and personalized care to their future patients.
The University of Colorado Department of Orthopedic Medical Students offers clinical exposure in both inpatient and outpatient settings, catering to patients across the age spectrum, from adolescents to those in their later stages of life.
Annually, more than 100 students engage in our Orthopedic Medical Students. During their rotations, they gain valuable insights and provide care to Orthopedic patients from Colorado and the surrounding areas, both in our clinics and operating rooms. Students collaborate with a diverse range of healthcare providers, including faculty, fellows, residents, and additional clinical staff, as well as professionals from other disciplines within interprofessional teams. Our students not only acquire the foundational knowledge of Orthopedics but also have the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research and clinical practice. On average, approximately 45 of our students each year choose Orthopedics as their career path and successfully match with various prestigious training programs across the country.
