International Rotation

During the PGY5 year, residents have the unique opportunity to participate in a fully funded, one-week international rotation with one of our partner programs. This experience broadens clinical exposure through diverse case presentations, patient populations, enhances cultural competence, and fosters global collaboration and innovation in medical practice. We have an International Rotation Committee that meets monthly to plan these rotations.

My favorite experience in residency was getting to do the international rotation as a chief. It allowed me to implement all my orthopedic surgery training into providing care to an underserved population with very little resources and opened my eyes to the global need for Orthopedic care.” - Dr. Renzo Laynes who did a rotation in Peru
