Nestled within the Anschutz campus, this facility holds Level 1 trauma designation, affording residents the opportunity to collaborate with trauma experts and Osseointegration specialists as part of their training.
UCH's Level 1 trauma site status underscores its pivotal role in providing invaluable hands-on experience for residents in our Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program. As you progress through your training, you'll have the privilege of working alongside our accomplished trauma specialists and Osseointegration experts, further enriching your education and skill set.
Denver Health Medical Center (DHMC), serving as the city-county hospital for Denver, plays a pivotal role as Colorado's primary safety net institution. Denver Health extends its healing touch to 35 percent of Denver's children and serves one in four Denver residents.
DHMC's dedicated faculty holds full-time appointments through the School of Medicine, assuming the crucial role of overseeing residents in the comprehensive spectrum of complex total body traumatic injuries.
