World leaders in cryotherapy of bone and soft tissue tumors

Musculoskeletal Oncology Research

Our physicians aren't just in the OR all day—they're working to advance the field of musculoskeletal oncology as a whole. Our doctors work closely with other research faculty on campus across both CU Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Colorado to explore and search for ways to improve the diagnosis, and treatment of sarcoma and other tumors affecting the musculoskeletal system.

Specifically, we are working on new methods of fluorescent aided resections in soft tissue sarcoma surgery, long-term outcomes in pediatric patients with bone and soft tissue sarcoma, gait analysis and long-term outcomes for patients that underwent rotationplasty, and outcomes with cryotherapy as adjuvant in the treatment of patients with metastatic renal carcinoma to bone.
