Dr. Bruno Anthony was interviewed for a CBS News article that discusses the partnership between Cherry Creek School District, The University of Colorado and Children's Hospital Colorado. This partnership has led to the construction of a new building that will be part mental health medical facility, and part school. Considering the recent youth mental health crisis, professionals want this to be a place where students can feel safe and supported. "What's unique about it is that it will have different levels of therapies in one place. What's exciting is that it will be integrated into a more educational context so it will be easier for the children to go back to the classroom," Anthony said.Emily Hemendinger was featured in a Q&A CU Anschutz News article discussing how technology trends like TikTok and ChatGPT can potentially have a negative impact on people struggling with eating disorders. “We need to cultivate a balanced and intentional relationship with social media and any new technology. We cannot over-rely on chatbots and AI for therapy and especially not for treatment (at least for now). There’s so much misinformation and hatred that is out there, so we have to combat it when we have the capacity, learn when to step out and take care of ourselves when we don’t have the capacity, set boundaries with others and ourselves, and practice mindfulness around any use of technology.”
