CoBE is dedicated to educating patients, families, and providers about bipolar disorder in order to improve the lives of those affected by the illness. Psychiatric disorders that start this young, during one’s formative years, have a prolonged and profound negative impact on an individual’s education, social interactions and professional achievements.

The annual financial cost of bipolar disorder in the US is estimated to be $202 billion when considering the costs of hospitalizations, complex and expensive care, and medical management of associated diseases such as obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
