Fellowships

Welcome to the University of Colorado School of Medicine Psychiatry Fellowships’ website. The fellowship programs collaborate closely, partnering with the core psychiatry program to provide world class training in all psychiatry sub-specialties. Fellowship program directors and fellows teach and supervise residents in the core residency. The fellowship programs afford fellows and core psychiatry residents abundant opportunities to participate in joint conferences and interact with specialized multidisciplinary health professionals and agencies in advocacy, administrative, clinical, and research activities.

Psychiatry training programs (except the emergency psychiatry fellowship) are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry fellowship is accredited by the United Council for Neurological Subspecialties Accreditation Council (UCNS-AC). All fellowships are sponsored by the University of Colorado School of Medicine Graduate Medical Education Office and the Department of Psychiatry.

The residency and fellowships’ administrative office is located on the Anschutz Medical Campus. Program directors meet quarterly and communicate often to improve educational efforts and manage common program requirements, compliance, and administrative functions. The program director for the core residency is also vice chair for psychiatry graduate medical education and represents the residency and fellowship programs in all departmental and University matters.

Each of the fellowship programs is administered by a program director based at one of the key affiliated training sites.
