PEACS a program under the University of Colorado’s Department of Psychiatry. The Department of Psychiatry has a strong record of funded research grants from organizations like the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The department strongly supports research collaborations between experts in several fields, to strengthen our ability to support mental, physical, and neurological health across the lifespan.
When PEACS becomes involved research studies in which young people and their families may participate, further information will be available on this page. We have included some information here to describe some of the PEACS team’s specific research interests, publications, and grants in development.
Participating in PEACS research is different than participating in the PEACS treatment clinic. Participating in research involves reviewing a research consent form that describes study procedures, and you are not charged for participating in research (nor is your insurance notified). Participating in the PEACS clinic is a treatment service, which involves creating a medical record for your treatment and billing for treatments (see “PEACS Clinical Services” or contact us for more information).
