• Develop automated processes for sending referrals across Epic and tracking patients from one institution to another

UC Health

• Opening new UC Health Psychiatric Inpatient Unit, goal date – Summer 2023
• Planning improvements to Psychiatric and Therapy coverage in transplant services
• Expanded CDU2 18 hour coverage to in January of 2023. Working with UC Health to determine when to move to 24-hour coverage.

Children's Hospital

• Build a joint Strategic Plan with CHCO & CU SOM DoPsych

• Community Engagement Services (CES) aim is to be the core support service for the Department of Psychiatry’s (DOP) various programs that collaborate with local communities to promote strategies for increasing mental health awareness, addressing systemic health disparities, and advocating for systemic change.
• CES completed a needs assessment as the initial step to develop a repository of the DOP’s community programming and assess needs for support.
• They have been approved as an American Psychological Association Continuing Education Sponsor. This sponsorship ensures a high level of quality is maintained in program planning, management, and delivery.
• The project is continuing to build the repository of community programming.

• Front Door Project, a single access point for the outpatient department combined with a triage coordinator.

• Pursue Collaboration with:
  • Colorado Access and other RAE’s
  • Colorado Medicaid
  • Colorado Psychiatric Society
  • Colorado Behavioral Health Administration
  • Colorado Medical Society

• Coordinate with Measurement Assisted Care initiative to
  • Identify rating scales and other symptom measures.
  • Utilize collected data to link patients with potential research studies

• Pursue a partnership with the Center for Personalized Medicine

• Continue to build Research Collaborations by: 
  • Developing a standard method to assess patients for research  
  • Designating a position within the Department of Psychiatry to develop a more systematic relationship between research and our integrated care partners.
