KAREN FRANKEL, PHD, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Karen Frankel

Karen Frankel, PhD is a Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the CU Anschutz School of Medicine and director of the Harris Program in Child Development and Infant Mental Health.   Dr. Frankel is the supervising psychologist for the University of Colorado Anschutz Health Young Child Clinic. She is the Executive Director of the Fussy Baby Network® Colorado and Warm Connections. She has a particular interest in the integration of infant and early childhood mental and behavioral health services into non-mental health, community-based settings such as primary care, home visiting, and WIC clinics.



ASHLEY SWARD, PSYD, PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Ashley Sward

Ashley Sward, PsyD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the CU Anschutz School of Medicine. She is the program director and clinical supervisor for Warm Connections.  Dr. Sward is endorsed as an Infant Mental Health Specialist through the Colorado Association of Infant Mental Health and provides trauma-specific, evidence-based therapeutic and consultative services on the Child Protection team at Children's Hospital Colorado and in the Stress Trauma Research and Treatment (START) clinic.



JENNIFER KING, LCSW, PROGRAM MANAGER

Jennifer King

Jennifer King, LCSW, PMH-C is an Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at the CU Anschutz School of Medicine.  She is the program manager for Fussy Baby Network® Colorado and an integrated care specialist with Warm Connections. Areas of interest include community-based perinatal, infant and early childhood mental health, and advancing professional development for the providers who serve families with young children.



COLLEEN FISCHER, PHD, WARM CONNECTIONS/FUSSY BABY SPECIALIST

Colleen Fischer

Colleen Fischer, PhD is a Licensed Pediatric Psychologist and Program Director of the early childhood mental health treatment program in the Denver Health Outpatient Behavioral Health Services Department.  Her specialized training is in early childhood mental health and trauma treatment.  In addition to her clinical and administrative duties at Denver Health, she is the Principal Investigator on a prevention grant funded through the Foundation for Opioid Response Efforts (FORE) and supervises and teaches pre- and post-doctoral psychology residents.



JULIA PALOZZI, PSYD, WARM CONNECTIONS/FUSSY BABY SPECIALIST

Julia Palozzi

Julia Palozzi, PsyD is a licensed clinical psychologist who completed her postdoc training with the Harris Program in Child Development and Infant Mental Health. She holds several clinical positions at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine, including the Kids in Care Clinic, Breast Feeding Management Clinic, Warm Connections, and the Pediatric Mental Health Institute. Over the course of her career, she hopes to have a hand in both intervention and policy that addresses the social determinants of maternal mental health and prioritizes early childhood intervention.



HALEY OSBORN, PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR

Haley Osborn

Haley Osborn, the program administrator, is an experienced professional specializing in program management, financial oversight, and administrative coordination. Reporting directly to the Section Administrator of the Child and Adolescent Division within the Department of Psychiatry, this role ensures the seamless operation of several programs, including the Warm Connections Program.
