Young Adult Cannabis Users

The purpose of this research study is to learn more about how cannabidiol (CBD) may affect cannabis use, effects, mood, and cognitive function. 

Duration: Participation will include 4 visits over about 12 weeks. 

Study Site: University of Colorado Anschutz; home-based visits in our mobile pharmacology lab 

You may be eligible if you are: 

  • Age 18-25
  • A regular user of cannabis 
  • Not currently seeking to cut down or stop cannabis use

Cannabidiol and Cannabis Concentrate Users

The purpose of this research study is to learn more about how cannabidiol (CBD) may affect cannabis use, effects, and craving. Participation will involve taking cannabidiol (CBD) or a placebo. 

Duration: Study participation will include 4 visits over about 5 weeks. 

Study Site: University of Colorado Anschutz; home-based visits in mobile pharmacology lab 

You may be eligible if you are: 

  • Age 25-60
  • A regular user of cannabis concentrates
  • Not currently seeking to cut down or stop cannabis use

Quality of Life Aging Research Trial (QUARTz) 


COMIRB#23-0274

The purpose of this research study is to better understand the effects of cannabidiol (CBD) in adults ages 60 and above. Participants will be randomy assigned to one of the following study medications: CBD only product, CBD product that includes small amounts of THC, or a Hemp Seed Oil Product (no CBD or THC). 

Duration: Participation will include 4 study visits over the course of 8 weeks.

Study Site: University of Colorado-Boulder

You may be eligible if you are: 

  • Age 60 or older
  • Taking medication(s) for pain, sleep or mood 
  • Not a regular cannabis user
