Addiction Medicine Fellowship

The core curriculum includes clinical rotations in a longitudinal continuity clinic, a residential treatment program, an outpatient treatment program, medication assisted treatment programs, adolescent treatment programs, and an addiction medicine consultation-liaison service.

Residential Treatment

Outpatient Treatment

  1. Intensive Outpatient Program, CeDAR/CU Anschutz Medical Campus
  2. University of Colorado's Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS)-Synergy Program (Adolescents).
  3. Substance Abuse Treatment, Education, and Prevention (STEP) (Adolescents) - Denver Health.
  4. Outpatient Behavioral Health Service and Medication Assisted Treatment-Methadone Maintenance Program - Denver Health.

Inpatient Addiction Medicine

Electives

Fellows can choose from the following proposed electives or design an elective of his/her choosing with program director approval: 

  1. Family Program at CeDAR/Smoking Cessation at CeDAR, CU Anschutz Medical Campus
  2. Health Professionals Inpatient/Outpatient, CeDAR, CU Anschutz Medical Campus
  3. Psychiatry Consult-Liaison Service, University of Colorado Hospital

Didactics

Attendance at weekly didactics offers educational opportunities to advance your skills and knowledge in key areas of assessment and treatment of Addiction Medicine.  Our didactics are held on Wednesday afternoons in collaboration with the Psychiatry fellowship.
