Tidbit About Yourself: I am originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan and moved to Colorado for my residency/ fellowship training.  I've stayed here ever since because it's an amazing place to live, explore, and practice sports medicine!  My main hobbies are skiing, golfing, mountain biking, and hiking with my wife (Jen) and son (Luke).

Special Interest: MSK and Sports Ultrasound, Exercise physiology and performance physiology, women’s health, race medicine, climbing, high altitude medicine, ski/snowboard medicine.

Tidbit about Yourself: A Colorado native. In 1998, I created the primary care sports medicine fellowship at the University of Colorado. In 2000, I was one of the first sports medicine doctors in the United States to use musculoskeletal ultrasound. I developed many of the initial approaches and techniques for diagnostic and interventional MSK ultrasound. I am a team physician at the University of Denver and have been the Men’s soccer team physician for 12 years. I have competed in road and mountain bike racing, triathlons and running races, including the Boston marathon and was a 2010 Leadman, completing all the Leadville races in a single season including the Leadville 100 Ultramarathon and Mountain bike race. I have been married to Gail for 36 years and have two daughters.

Special Interest: Endurance athletes, running medicine, the female athlete triad, relative energy deficiency in sport (RED-S), bony stress injuries, athlete mental health, and injury prevention.

Tidbit About Yourself: In my free time, you can usually find me out running on the road, track, or trails. I also enjoy hiking, skiing, cooking, reading, and exploring the mountains with my husband and friends.

Tidbit About Yourself: I have been with the University of Colorado as a Team Physician since 2008. I helped to start and spearhead the Student Athlete Wellness Team at the University of Colorado which is a multidisciplinary group that cares for the athlete from a nutritional, psychiatric, medical and training aspect to better their overall health and performance. In my “free” time I enjoy volunteering with the non-profit Hope Shines, Inc. that works with orphans and vulnerable children in Rwanda as the medical consultant and volunteer coordinator.

Tidbit About Yourself: I have been a program coordinator with the University of Colorado for the past thirteen years. I recently transitioned to the program coordinator position for the Sports Medicine Fellowship, Addiction Medicine Fellowship & the Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship I am excited to work with the wonderful physicians, fellows and staff in the program and serve as a representative of the Department of Family Medicine in Graduate Medical Education. In my free time, I enjoy doing anything creative; home remodeling, cooking, gardening, flower arranging.

Tidbit About Yourself: I enjoy ski mountaineering, ice climbing, as well as skiing and biking with my wife and three kids. I was able to obtain one of my lifelong goals of summiting Denali in 2012. I race for Boulder Cycle Sport cycling team and compete in mountain biking and cyclocross events.

My husband and I foster retired racing greyhounds in search of new homes, and spend the rest of our free time working on our 'fixer-upper' home in Boulder.
