Family Medicine's Medical Student Education program spans all four years of the medical student's learning experience. Our goal is to provide students coordinated and optimal learning experiences.

The Department of Family Medicine offers support to students with their scholarly/research projects. Our Medical Student Education team can connect you with a mentor with expertise in your area of interest, help you identify a topic for your project, and meet SOM Requirements.
Begin here by reviewing the list of potential MSA projects/mentors.
If you would like to discuss your ideas further, please complete the Mentored Scholarly Activity Interest Form and someone from our team will be in touch to arrange a meeting.
Limited financial support through the CAFP and AAFP may be available for students completing research with a family medicine mentor. Funding opportunities are shared with students as they become available.
