Health equity means increasing opportunities for everyone to live the healthiest life possible, no matter who we are, where we live, or how much money we make (Robert Wood Johnson Foundation). For clinicians, this means adapting our patient care and healthcare organizations to meet our patients where they are.
We know that factors such as income, age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, living conditions, and disability (and many more) influence our ability to access healthcare and healthy conditions. This page provides resources to inform clinical decision-making and organizational change that fit the unique needs of the individuals, families, and communities under our care.
