Rural Training Track

Home Town Family Medicine Education & Training


Our Rural Training Track prioritizes providing residents with full-spectrum training in high and low-acuity settings to prepare physicians to meet the growing need for comprehensive care in rural communities.

  • 2 residents per year (2-2-2)
  • First intern class started in 2017
  • $300/month housing stipend provided through all 36 months of training in addition to excellent benefits through CU School of Medicine

PGY1: RTT interns live in Denver and have their continuity clinic at A.F. Williams Family Medicine Clinic and inpatient training at Denver Health, University Hospital, and Children’s Hospital Colorado.

PGY2 & PGY3: RTT residents move to Fort Morgan and have their continuity clinic at Salud Family Health Center Fort Morgan and inpatient training at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
