Residency Elective in Global Health: Transforming Care Beyond Borders
The CU School of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology is dedicated to creating early career opportunities in global health. Our programs train leaders to address health disparities and implement sustainable solutions in underserved regions.
We're excited to offer three elective positions in our Global Anesthesiology Health Program for our CA-2 residents in good standing. This unique elective combines clinical excellence with a passion for global health, equipping residents with the skills to tackle pressing health challenges in underserved populations. Application Process
If you are ready to join us in our mission to advance global health and make a lasting impact through the practice of anesthesiology, you are encouraged to apply early. This program is open to any CU Department of Anesthesiology CA-2 resident in good standing. If interested, please submit the following documents:
- Application Form
- Current CV
- Two Letters of Recommendation and a Letter of Support from the Program Director
- Personal Statement (detailing motivations for interest in global health, future plans, experience, and areas of interest)
- ITE Scores for CA-1 and CA-2 Years
Applications will be blindly scored and numerically ranked by our committee. Successful candidates will be invited for interviews, and final selections will be announced each May. This elective is not only a chance to make a difference but also to grow professionally and personally in a global context.
