Our children's hospital in Aurora, Colorado is the cornerstone of our growing system of pediatric healthcare services. It is located on 48 acres at the juncture of I-225 and Colfax on the Anschutz Medical Campus, at the eastern edge of the Denver metro area.
Here, we provide comprehensive medical care for kids from birth through adolescence. In addition to being the only pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center in the region, we treat virtually all conditions that affect children. Our care team members are experts in treating kids and understanding their special needs. They understand that a child's illness or injury, no matter how big or small, affects the entire family. Our doctors are pediatric specialists in a wide range of fields, from pediatric emergency care to primary care. We also provide hospital services from doctors solely dedicated to caring for kids during their hospital stay and maintaining communication with your primary care physician.

Pediatric Anesthesiology
The Anesthesiology Department at Children's Colorado is made up of a multidisciplinary team of highly trained pediatric anesthesia experts. Our team administers more than 33,000 anesthetic procedures per year. We specialize in the unique needs of children undergoing surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Even our operating room and recovery nurses are experts in caring for children.

Denver Health is Colorado’s primary “safety net” institution providing billions in care for the uninsured. Denver Health’s Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine is a team of physician anesthesiologists, certified registered nurse anesthetists, nurse practitioners and anesthesia technicians who are dedicated in providing care to the highest standard throughout the perioperative period.
Our spectrum of care can range from several weeks to months before surgery through our Preanesthesia Clinic (PAC), immediately after surgery in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit and to several days after surgery while in the hospital. Our goal is to evaluate and help manage your medical problems while you safely transition from one stage of perioperative care to the next.
