For more than 30 years, University of Colorado Anesthesiology has fostered the development of world-class anesthesia providers committed not only to clinical excellence, compassionate patient care, and research, but also to a keen pursuit of lifelong learning. Our nationally-acclaimed training programs are fueled by passionate and dedicated faculty. The primary goals of the program are to provide the best educational experiences in anesthesiology and related disciplines, expose trainees to diverse clinical areas and services, and provide the tools that will train individuals to become leaders in health care and improve patients’ quality of life. Our department is proud to sponsor training programs for medical students, residents, fellows, anesthesia assistant students, nurse anesthesia students, and non-anesthesia learners. The educational programs of the Department of Anesthesiology provide members of the anesthesiology team with opportunities to improve their knowledge, clinical skills, resilience and professional behavior. By promoting participant engagement in effective and innovative educational programming, a culture of lifelong learning is fostered within the Department. This culture is required for developing clinical excellence, compassionate patient care, discovery, and leadership in anesthesiology and perioperative medicine for the 21st Century.
