This is a one-year ACGME-accredited
fellowship program, which provides training in the perioperative care of
patients of all ages with congenital and acquired heart disease. In addition to
gaining clinical experience in the cardiovascular operating rooms and cardiac
catheterization labs, the fellow will gain experience during rotations in
perfusion, diagnostic cardiology, and the cardiac intensive care unit. The
fellowship will provide the trainee with the foundation and experience
necessary to begin a successful career in academic pediatric cardiac
anesthesiology.
The cardiac anesthesia team works
closely with team members of the Heart Institute at CHCO, collaborating with
medical and surgical caregivers in all areas of cardiac expertise. With a track
record of publications, presentations and leadership, the program provides
excellent opportunities and resources for the fellow to pursue academic
endeavors.
Please use the common application form for “Advanced Second Year Fellowships in Pediatric Anesthesiology” from the SPA website.
