The Anesthesiology Preoperative Medical Clearance Clinic

This outpatient consult clinic has been managed by a Pediatric Anesthesiologist since 2012. We see complex medical patients referred to us by their primary physicians or surgeons to optimize their medical disease before their surgeries. We also see patients and families with self-referrals who want to have more time to discuss the anesthesia plan for their child. This is done to ensure a safe and smooth perioperative journey with us. 

This clinic is open on weekdays from 8 am – 4 pm excluding national holidays. The  assigned preoperative clinic anesthesiologist answers patient, parents or providers’ phone calls during office hours at 720-77-SLEEP (720-777-5337) which also has a voicemail service.

The clinic is situated on the 2nd floor of the Children’s Hospital Colorado Ambulatory Clinics Building.

We provide face to face, telehealth or telephone call visits to all patients as dictated by patients’ medical and social situations.

The Anesthesiology Preoperative Clinic also collaborates with different multidisciplinary clinics including but not limited to: high risk spine clinic, enhanced recovery after surgery for urology clinic, aerodigestive clinic and the bariatric clinic.
