Stipends & Benefits

Stipends and benefits are regulated by the Graduate Medical Education Office. Please visit our Graduate Medical Education (GME) site for complete details.

Malpractice, medical, dental, life and disability insurance are provided at no cost. Medical and dental insurance covers residents and their families.

Vacation time of 15 days/year is provided but may not be carried over from one clinical year to the next. Residents are also allowed five days/year for educational leave. Money is available within departmental funds for travel to meetings.

Attendance at scientific meetings, not to exceed 5 working days per year, shall be considered part of the training program.

Additional benefits provided by our department include: a Travel and Education fund, Society memberships, and journals.
