Living in Denver

​Let’s be honest, if you’re looking at Denver, you’re an adventurer. In Colorado, there are 4 national parks, 8 national monuments, and backcountry waiting to be explored. Colorado is known for having over 58 “14ers” in which you hike up to 14,000 ft altitude. Many ski resorts are within 2 hours of Denver, making it easy to complete a day trip to the slopes on your day off. 

Denver is also in close proximity for day trips to Colorado Springs, Golden, and Boulder – all known for hiking, water sports, skiing, and good eats. While exploring the hiking scene of Colorado, it’s easy to end up on a brewery tour of Colorado. Colorado has more cities listed in the top 25 highest breweries per capita than any other state in the US. Even more importantly, these breweries are highly rated, and many are dog friendly! In addition to hiking trails, you won’t want to miss visiting Red Rocks. Red Rocks Amphitheater is a naturally formed sandstone amphitheater that is well known for concerts including U2, Dave Matthews Band, Incubus and Stevie Nicks. In addition, Red Rocks plays host to Yoga on the Rocks, Film on the Rocks as well as geological hikes and tours. 

Once you’re in the city, you’ll begin to understand why so many people are moving to Denver.  Most restaurants and bars are set up to take advantage of the glorious weather in Denver with deck seating and outdoor games. The food scene in Denver evolves each year with more and more restaurants featured on Food & Wine, New York Times, and the Food Network. Visit the Denver Art Museum, Denver Botanic Gardens, and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science Exhibitions which hold events year round. Denver has 7 professional sports teams representing basketball, soccer, hockey, football, baseball, rugby, and lacrosse that play at Broncos Stadium, Coors Field, Pepsi High, and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. If you’d prefer to play rather than watch, there are vast numbers of club teams and Play Mile High coed social sports leagues. There are running leagues, climbing and crossfit gyms and pick-up sports galore. Whether you’re feeling athletic or you just want to get brunch, there’s something for everybody in Denver.  

Colorado is currently listed as the number one state for economy by US News and World Report. People are flocking by the tens of thousands to Denver annually. Real estate is booming. There’s a fun and relaxed vibe in Denver, only enhanced by the 300 days of sunshine.
