CU OB-GYN Clerkship Mission Statement
The University of Colorado Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology OB-GYN Clerkship provides clinical experiences in both inpatient and outpatient settings, serving patients ranging in age from adolescents to the end of life.
Every year over 140 students rotate through our OB-GYN clerkship, where they have opportunities to learn and provide care to women in our clinics, operating rooms and on labor and delivery. Students work with a variety of providers including faculty, fellows, residents, nurse midwives and students from the department of OB-GYN, as well as other disciplines as part of interprofessional teams. Our students learn the fundamentals of obstetrics and gynecology, but are also able to participate in groundbreaking research and clinical care. Each year on average about 8 of our students chose OB-GYN as their career and match at a variety of strong training programs around the country.
