OB-GYN Residency Preliminary Internship

The University of Colorado Obstetrics and Gynecology residency is very pleased to offer a preliminary internship position.  The “prelim” position is a 1 year internship providing the exact same clinical experiences as the categorical internship.  This position is ideal for those undecided regarding their medical specialty but considering a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

Additionally, the “prelim” can also be utilized as the PGY-1 year in many other specialties that require a preliminary/transitional internship.  Eligibility for the prelim is the same as for the categorical positions. 

The application process for the "prelim" is also the same as for the categorical positions, however it is identified as a separate program option through ERAS.  For more specific information regarding the "prelim" please contact us directly.
