CU OB-GYN Residency Mission Statement
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is excited to offer scholarships to visiting fourth year medical students from historically underrepresented groups applying to OB-GYN. The focus of this externship is to support the mission of the CU Anschutz School of Medicine to improving health outcomes of patients who come from marginalized backgrounds. The scholarship is intended to help cover travel, housing, and/or personal expenses during the student’s 4-week long rotation. The purpose is to support and guide medical students from underrepresented groups who have an interest in the OB-GYN Residency Program and University of Colorado SOM.
Scholarship recipients will complete a 4-week rotation in an approved OB or GYN acting internship elective focusing on serving patients from marginalized backgrounds with the following benefits:

Please note: Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis and applicants will be notified of final decisions when the selection process is complete. The scholarship will be given at the end of your rotation once you have met all requirements for your rotation, have passed and are in good standing.
