4th Year OB-GYN Clerkship Electives and Sub-Internships

The University of Colorado Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers 9 sub-internship and elective courses for 4th year medical students interested in OB-GYN clinical experiences and welcomes students from over 130 LCME accredited medical schools across the United States.

Our courses are four-weeks in length and are structured to gauge a student's clinical abilities based on six core competencies. These courses are appropriate for students who are interested in Obstetrics and Gynecology and supplemental to students who are pursuing other specialties.

Courses provide students with exposure to all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology including Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology, and Family Planning, along with research courses and scholarly activities. Each course has its own course director who oversees the development and implementation of the curriculum for their course.
