Dr. Joseph Schacht is featured in a Self article that shares 3 Things to Do If You Drank Too Much and Feel Like Garbage. "Take it easy! Emily Hemendinger, MPH, LCSW featured in The OCD Stories, an international podcast where she discusses executive functioning and decision making as it relates to OCD and anxiety. Hemendinger is also featured in a Techradar article titled “Is social media good for mental health? Young people think it is”.
ANNOUNCEMENTS AND AWARDS
Dr. Michael Allen will serve as a co-investigator for a multicenter project including UCH and Memorial Hospital in Colorado as part of the P50 Center for Accelerating Practices to End to Suicide (CAPES), Ed Boudreaux, UMass, PI.
On June 1, 2023 Chad Morris participated in President Joe Biden's Cancer Moonshot Smoking Cessation Forum. The forum highlighted the Biden-Harris Administration's commitment to tackling the biggest single driver of cancer deaths in this country-smoking-and efforts underway across sectors to equitably expand access to effective smoking cessation support.
Dr. Melissa Buchholz and colleagues at Assuring Better Child Health and Development were selected to be an Implementation Site for the Early Childhood Developmental Health Systems grant through HRSA and ZERO TO THREE. This 1.4-million-dollar grant will allow them to continue their impactful work over the next 3.5 years. Dr. Buchholz and team are working to transform early childhood health systems in Colorado to promote equity, elevate family voice, and increase access to high-quality developmental health systems in the communities most in need. Dr. Buccholz will be the PI for this grant; she shares she is thrilled about the opportunities it will create for our state and young children and families.
