Dr. Ron- Li Liaw, Director of the division of Child and Adolescent Mental Health at CU, shares her preoccupation regarding children's mental health due to the pandemic in an article on The Colorado Sun.
"The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently released national data showing that in 2021, 37% of high school students reported they experienced poor mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic, and 44% reported they persistently felt sad or hopeless during the past year."
Dr. Amy Lopez is featured in an article on11 News in which she provides feedback on how educators are experiencing the school shooting in Texas.
Dr. Sarah Nagle-Yang is featured in an article in The Denver Post where she, as a reproductive psychiatrist, shares her thoughts on recent events that have determined many aspects of women's rights.
Dr. Steven Berkowitz has been invited to serve as a guest speaker in CU's "Addressing Gun Violence Within a Health- Grounded Approach" webinar discussing the public health impacts of gun violence. This webinar will be held on June 28th on 5pm via Zoom.
