MEDIA FEATURESSarah Schwenk and Leslie Choi, co-directors of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Training at the CU College of Nursing, are featured in an article for CU Anschutz News. The PMHNP program trains advanced-practice nurses on how to treat mental illness and promote mental health to diverse patient populations in different settings. Upon taking the lead of the program, Schwenk and Choi expanded it, allowing students to have more rotations and more hours to get different levels of in-depth experience within their practice.
Dr. Rachel Davis is featured in a CPR News podcast titled Altruistic Donors helping Strangers. This podcast shares how Dr. Davis altruistically donated a part of her liver to someone she did not know at the time. The liver recipient is Lety Ortiz, a 62-year-old female who needed a liver transplant to survive.
Dr. Chloe Page won a CU System Open Education Resources (OER) Champion award for her work that included the Augmented Reality brains she created alongside Clint Carlson, MS, BS.
