Dr. Andrew Novick was interviewed for an article titled "Why Birth Control Side Effects Have Eluded Science" in Undark, a non-profit, editorially independent digital magazine exploring the intersection of science and society.Dr. Neill Epperson was quoted in a New York Post article about a recent trend of young people learning about mental health conditions and medications from start-ups via TikTok and other social media sites.
Dr. Ron-Li Liaw was interviewed again recently by Colorado Public Radio's Colorado Edition. She spoke about the children's mental health crisis and reminded listeners it is an ongoing, urgent matter.
Dr. Rachel Davis was consulted for a Medscape article titled "Navigating Patient Requests for an Emotional Support Animal."
Dr. Michael Allen was interviewed in a recent Rocky Mountain Crisis Partners newsletter. He spoke about his role as medical director for the organization and the challenges and opportunities of crisis work, especially as 988 develops in Colorado.
Dr. Amy Lopez was interviewed for a feature in a CU Anschutz Today story. The title of the piece was "A Guide to Dealing with Grief and Loss" and Dr. Lopez offered advice on coping with losing a loved one.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
With a PCORI COVID Supplement, the University of Maryland Institute for Implementation and Innovation, Children's National, and CU Anschutz Department of Psychiatry engaged a stakeholder team of parents and school staff to create and test a series of free parent support videos and tip sheets. These short videos are designed to give parents help to build new executive functioning skills. Dr. Laura Anthony, Dr. Bruno Anthony (co-investigator), Dr. Jessica Holmes (PRA), and Tennyson Dahlman (PRA) are also involved in this project.
AWARDS
Dr. Bryce Callister was awarded the 2022 Outstanding Clinical Teacher for Psychiatry award by the Colorado Springs Branch at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
PRESENTATIONS
Emily Hemendinger, MPH, LCSW, was invited to speak at the CU Anschutz Advocates for Mental Health meeting on March 7th. She presented about body neutrality, weight stigma, and weight neutral healthcare.
