CU Complex Family Planning Fellowship Program

Program Overview

The University of Colorado Anschutz Fellowship in Complex Family Planning is the 18th fellowship site nationally, taking its first fellow in 2009. Fellows will obtain master’s level training in epidemiology, research methods, and biostatistics. The emphasis is on abortion training, contraception, and adolescent medicine. This is a two-year ACGME accredited program accepting one fellow a year. 

Strong Clinical Training

Fellows receive strong clinical training and gain experience with the complex family planning fellowship director.

Diverse Faculty

Work alongside a diverse group of faculty with a wide-range of interests.

Teaching Opportunities

Our program provides opportunities for fellows to teach residents and students through the Kenneth J. Ryan Residency Training Program and Complex Family Planning conferences.

Collaboration

Our program has a well-established fellowship director who facilitates collaborations among many departments across the University of Colorado.

Adolescent Reproductive Health

An emphasis on adolescent reproductive health, including long-established research and clinical collaborations in this field.

Department Support

Our department provides supportive faculty, section chiefs, and a Department Chair who take an active approach to graduate medical education.

Working with Diverse Populations

Fellows have the opportunity to work clinically and academically with ethnically diverse, urban, underserved populations
