The Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado offers foreign medical graduates and international students opportunities for clinical rotations or observerships in a dynamic healthcare setting. Participants gain hands-on experience, collaborate with faculty, and explore diverse medical practices while meeting program requirements like malpractice coverage and visa compliance.
Medical school graduates and students at medical schools that do not participate in the VSLO Global Network should apply for sponsorship through the platform linked below. This platform will take applicants through the process of applying for sponsorship, the first step in consideration for a rotation within the department. Students at schools that participate in the VSLO Global Network should apply through VSLO rather than this form.
Applications for either clinical experience can be completed at any time and require a $100 application fee. Applicants will be contacted with payment instructions after submitting their application. Observership applications will be reviewed quarterly by Department of Medicine Leadership (March 1st, June 1st, September 1st, and December 1st). Student applications for clinical rotation sponsorship will be reviewed in March only, please submit by March 15th.
We also welcome visiting students from U.S. medical schools to join us on rotations. Please see the School of Medicine website for more details on how to apply for an away rotation.
