Diversity Ambassadors are volunteer faculty who serve as a resource for all Internal Medicine residents. They are available to lead discussions, answer questions, and provide advice regarding issues that center around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), including implicit bias, microaggressions, racism, being an upstander, health inequities, and much more. Our Diversity Ambassadors participate in many events (First Look, Second Look, Toast to Diversity, etc.) dedicated to recruiting and retaining diverse housestaff and faculty. They aim to contribute to an inclusive environment in which all voices are heard and all people are valued.
