Darla Dolph joined the Department of Family Medicine on July 15, 2025 as a Human Resources Specialist, contributing on Organizational Development initiatives.
She holds credentials as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Life Coach, Career Coach, and Professional Résumé Writer. Darla has had careers in both Human Resources as an HR Manager, HR Generalist, and Benefits Administrator, and in Higher Education overseeing Student and Career Services for a private nursing college in Colorado. Darla comes to us with a zest for lifelong learning, currently holding three Master of Science degrees: Higher Education Administration and Leadership, Psychology, and Sociology, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She hopes one day to continue on her educational path in pursuing a doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership.
When not working or being a student, Darla has been recognized as an accomplished mosaic artist having exhibited in the Loveland Museum, the Frederic C. Hamilton Fine Art Gallery, and her conceptual design for a mural—pieced together by a team of 30 artists—is permanently installed in the Children's Hospital Colorado--Anschutz Medical Campus inside Radiology West/Patient Registration.

Chloe Finke has worked with the Family Medicine residency since 2016. She began working for the residency on the Denver Health side and then joined the DFM as staff in early 2022. She works behind the scenes of the residency, managing the day-to-day operations of the program with 38 residents. Chloe has her BS and C-TAGME.

Sadie engages in practice-based research projects with the High Plains Research Network and engages with the community to better healthcare in the Northeast Plains of Colorado. Melissa has over 20 years of experience in Family Medicine and Behavioral Health, including 15 years serving patients at UCHealth Family Medicine Clinic in Westminster. She's committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and supporting the health and well-being of individuals and families. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family. She has two adult sons and one beautiful granddaughter. They love camping and watching football together. She also enjoys traveling and exploring new places with her husband.

She holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Biology Pre-Medicine from Florida A&M University, with expertise in program management, research, and data analysis. Her interests focus on public health policies that promote health equity for underrepresented communities.

Cat Halliwell is a Research Services Principal Professional in the CU Department of Family Medicine and Director of Operations for the IRIS program, which develops trustworthy AI risk models for primary care, leveraging co-design, agile development, and real-world clinical data to build transparent tools designed for point-of-care clinical decision-making. She leads strategic planning, institutional partnerships, and cross-disciplinary initiatives that bring together clinicians, patients, researchers, and technical teams to create tools that are usable, accessible, and impactful. With over eight years of experience managing operations for multi-site research studies, Ms. Halliwell specializes in building scalable infrastructure and translational solutions that help practices adopt innovative care models and improve patient outcomes. She holds a BA in History from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Neal Heilman serves as a Residency Program Coordinator for the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency Program, where she has supported curriculum activities and resident evaluations since August 2023. She moved to Colorado from North Carolina, where she worked in the Department of Medical Education at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg). Neal holds a BS in Healthcare Administration, bringing both academic insight and practical experience to her current roll.

Lu Heimerl has been an Academic Services Professional with the Department of Family Medicine for 6 years supporting the Rural Program and UME.
Christina Hobson has been with the University since 2016, first in Central HR as the I-9 Administrator (July 2016 – Sept 2018) and then with Family Medicine as the HR/Payroll Specialist (Sept 2018-present). She has several degrees including BS in Psychology, BS in Business Administration, and the latest: Masters in Legal Studies with an emphasis in HR Law. A fun fact—she also has a dog training certificate from Animal Behavior College.

Kasie Holcomb has been with the Department of Family Medicine since 2012 and has supported a number of special projects and grants, including the Advancing Care Together program and additional integrated care programs. She has served as the Administrative Coordinator for the Eugene S. Farley, Jr. Health Policy center learning about the Behavioral Health Integration landscape and the pulse that serves within policy. Over the last several years Kasie has been the Program Coordinator for the Department of Family Medicine’s, Undergraduate Medical Education team. Here she has coordinated student events, managed student electives and clinical rotations for medical students. Her current role is GME Program Coordinator for Addiction Medicine, and Occupational and Environmental Health Fellowship and Residency programs. Outside the office she volunteers at a horse ranch working with horses and people who struggle with invisible wounds and disabilities, including military veterans who struggle with PTSD. She also enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
