The comprehensive spine fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz is a year-long, CAST accredited fellowship program covering all complex spine conditions.
The spine fellowship exposes trainees to cutting-edge technology and operative techniques in spinal neurosurgery. Fellows at CU Anschutz spend time in the multidisciplinary UCHealth Spine Center, working alongside faculty members from the Orthopedics and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation departments. Fellows also get the opportunity to work with specialists in radiology, neuro-oncology, neurology, and neuro ophthalmology.
CU Anschutz is one of only a few centers in the country that offers a CSF Leak Program. The multidisciplinary program specializes in the treatment of spontaneous intracranial hypotension, a condition not widely understood until the past decade.
Fellows also see a large volume of spine trauma cases and will have access research services and labs on campus.
We accept one spine fellow each year. Qualified applicants should contact the Director of the Spine Fellowship, Dr. Peter Lennarson, via email at [email protected] and Jenny Hasenbalg, Division and Education Administrator, at [email protected].
