Biography

Neil Markham joined CU in 1993 in the department of Pathology, studying telomerase, tumor markers, and analysis of clonality.  In 1998, he moved to Pediatrics and branched out into clinical, translational, and molecular research at the Pediatric Heart Lung Center.  He joined the nascent wet lab side of the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome in 2012.  Shortly after, he began a rewarding, ongoing association with Dr. Huntington Potter.  The work continues with the CU Alzheimer’s and Cognition Center and examination of the links between Alzheimer’s Disease and Down Syndrome.  He currently keeps the rodent colonies happy, and keep the lab supplied. Neil is a Colorado native and enjoys fly fishing and exploring the state.
