Biography

Bela Romano is a research coordinator and cognitive tester working primarily on the BioAD and LIIA studies. In this role, she organizes and conducts study visits pertaining to Alzheimer’s disease and Down Syndrome in order to better understand the relationship between neurocognitive disorders and immunity. Bela graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a minor in Health Psychology. Her research interests focus on cognitive and behavioral responses to neuroinflammation exacerbated by environmental stressors. In her free time, Bela enjoys playing clarinet in the Anschutz Medical Orchestra, swing/fusion/blues dancing, and spending time in the mountains with her film camera.
