Key areas of focus: microsurgery, skull base
Dr. Youssef’s research interests include minimally invasive microsurgical and endoscopic skull base approaches. He is interested in novel surgical techniques for functional preservation such as olfaction, hearing and facial nerve preservation. Of particular interest is combining open and endoscopic surgical approaches as a lesser invasive strategy in order to maximize cranial nerve functional preservation, reduce intraoperative bleeding, improve patient outcomes and reduce hospital stays.
