About Cerebrovascular Disease

Cerebrovascular disease refers to a group of conditions, diseases, and disorders that affect the blood vessels and blood supply to the brain. If a blockage, malformation, or hemorrhage prevents the brain cells from getting enough oxygen, brain damage can result.

The CU Department of Neurosurgery has some of the most experienced neurovascular surgeons in the country on our faculty, including nationally renowned Dr. Robert Breeze, Director of the Cerebrovascular Program, Dr. Joshua Seinfeld, Director of Endovascular Surgery, Dr. Chris Roark, Inpatient Medical Director, and Dr. David Case, who serves in both the Cerebrovascular Program and in our Neuro Critical Care Program.
