Residency, Fellowship, Med Students, CME

The Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery offers extensive educational programs for all levels of providers, including medical students, residents, clinical fellows, visiting international scholars, audiology graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows. Our goal is to provide an academic experience that will prepare trainees to move on to the next level, no matter where their career path may lead.

Formal course work is available for medical and graduate students. Resident and clinical fellow training includes formal didactics, as well as small hands-on group experience in all aspects of otolaryngology. Visiting international scholars have varying periods of observations in the clinical setting, with diadactics and individually created research experiences available. Audiology graduate students perform supervised testing in a busy otology-audiology clinic.

Postdoctoral fellows work closely with mentors in the research laboratory. Having multiple levels of trainees interacting in the Department leads to a fruitful interaction that enhances the future practices of everyone.
