Interview Day

The 2019-2020 interview season will feature 10 days of residency candidate interviews. All candidates will be invited to attend an informal dinner hosted by the residents the night prior to their interview, which will begin at approximately 7:00 PM. Invitations will be sent out approximately 2 weeks prior to each interview date. The event will only be attended by residents, and will hopefully provide a very informative opportunity for candidates to find out about the program in an informal setting.

The interview day will commence at 7:45 AM with a light breakfast served in the BAR LAB on the second floor of the AO1 building (12631 E. 17th Ave, Aurora, CO 80045).  After a few, brief presentations from departmental members, interviews will be held.  Each candidate will interview with several faculty members and a Chief Resident.  Concurrently, other candidates will be taken on a tour of the facilities, during which time they will have ample opportunity to meet and interact with residents and faculty.  The two groups will switch places, with the interview day concluding with a department-wide lunch.  All applicants will be finished by 1:00 PM.

How to Get Here

Most applicants arrive via Denver International Airport (DEN), which is approximately 20 minutes drive from the University Hospital. Once at the airport, many options exist for getting around:
• RTD Light Rail: The new A and R lines now connect the airport with the Anschutz Medical Campus and downtown Denver. Note that travel times can range over an hour. Consult the map and trip planner here: https://www.rtd-denver.com/app/plan
• Rental Car: As Denver is large geographic city, the flexibility of a rental car provides the easiest options for getting around.
