Nestled at the base of the Rocky Mountains, the city provides stunning natural landscapes and over 300 days of sunshine annually. Known for its dynamic healthcare sector and diverse cultural scene, Denver is an excellent place for both professional growth and personal enjoyment. Experience world-class training at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, and enjoy the city's welcoming community and abundant recreational opportunities. Denver has one of the busiest airports in the country with connectivity to all major cities and countries.
At the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, fulfilling the Alternate Pathway training requirements involves completing year-long fellowships across various subspecialties, including Abdominal Imaging, Cardiothoracic Imaging, Breast Imaging, Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention, Nuclear Radiology, and Pediatric Radiology, Pediatric Neuroradiology, and Fetal-Cardiac Imaging.
The program allows for customization to everyone’s needs and background, including an initial one-year research fellowship as part of the overall four-year plan. A research year will contribute to one of the four years required for the ABR Alternate Pathway. Positions typically involve annual contract renewals and are contingent on satisfactory performance. Fellows must demonstrate clinical competence and professionalism consistent with the department’s standards.
The Department of Radiology will offer one to two years of fellowship training. For the third and fourth years, we may provide opportunities for clinical fellowships or faculty positions, depending on individual circumstances and performance. We will make every effort to accommodate your preferences for fellowship placement, but please note that positions are limited, and the four-year pathway may differ from your initial request.
