Colorado Critical Care Research Group (CRG)

The Colorado Critical Care Research Group (C3RG) is comprised of seven principal investigators, each with a specific pulmonary and critical care area of focused research. Our principal investigators collaborate across studies and focus on their individual research with the support of our extensive research team of coordinators, lab, and regulatory team members.

The C3RG examines several pulmonary and critical care areas of focus through clinical trials, investigator-initiated projects, and other methods. Our areas of research:

  • The effects of alcohol and substance misuse on pulmonary function
  • The effects of Long COVID on pulmonary function and long-term outcomes
  • How different medical and technological interventions assist recovery in critically ill hospitalized patients
  • The risk factors and development of certain pulmonary illnesses/infections and their impacts on long-term patient recovery.

Our Principal Investigators: Dr. Neil Aggarwal, Dr. Ellen Burnham, Dr. Kelsey Hills-Dunlap, Dr. Jennifer Ginestra, Dr. Sarah Jolley, Dr. Marc Moss, and Dr. Peter Sottile

Our Operations and Regulatory Manager: Jeffrey McKeehan

Our Lab Manager: Suzanne Slaughter
